Warning for Home Owners as Mortgage Rates Rise
Average mortgage rates are on the rise, despite Bank Rate remaining at a record low, research has shown. Figures from comparison site MoneySupermarket (Xetra: A0MW73 – news ) show that average rate for five and two year fixed-rate mortgages and two-year tracker mortgages have all risen, while the Standard Variable Rate of many products has also been hiked. Experts urged customers to act as soon as possible if they were coming to the end of the mortgage deal, so that they can secure current rates.
